The Aqua Jet X Visits the Halloween Fest in Galax

On Friday, October 31, 2008, six members from Chapter 1426 of the Twin County Experimental Aircraft Association visited the city of Galax to celebrate the Halloween Festival. President Bob Steele took the chapter's Aqua Jet X fighter simulator to give young kids a free ride in the airplane. Other members who enjoyed the evening and assisted were Shirley, Ina and Jake Jacobs, and Lewis and Joanie Walker. The good witch Ina decorated the airplane and provided candy for the kids.

The Aqua Jet was positioned in the street near the Rooftop Building. Pictures of the event are displayed below. A large number of kids got to enjoy this ride, but only a few of them are in the pictures.

Unfortunately, after two hours of constant use, the rides had to cease before the evening was over, leaving a lot of disappointed kids lined up for the ride. The Aqua Jet got tired and so did Bob and both of them need some reinforcement and will be in rehab for awhile. They will be stronger than ever, though, and be ready to face any challenge!
